Encounter at the exhibition Efrat Hakimi: Looking for a Village (Hebrew)

Encounter with the curator, Raz Samira

Efrat Hakimi (The Lauren and Mitchell Presser Photography Award for a Young Israeli Artist, 2021) takes the viewers of her exhibition on a fictional and documentary wandering. Her starting point is the disappearance of the village of Assamer in the High Atlas Mountains. The village was abandoned by its Jewish residents, and can’t be found on contemporary maps. The exhibition tells the story of the immigration to Israel of the village’s inhabitants, including Hakimi’s family.

Spaces are limited.
Participation in the encounter includes entrance ticket to the Museum (not including the exhibition Yayoi Kusama: A Retrospective)

Please note that on Thursdays the Museum's galleries closes at 9 pm. We recommend arriving prior to the scheduled encounter if you want to visit the other exhibitions on view.
