Looking for a Rainbow

In the center of the gallery, a delicate piece of life unfolds; grass, flowers, and animals appear side by side. The installation, a figment of the imagination and handiwork of artist Merav Peleg, is made entirely of paper. It harbors a yearning for life and beauty, especially now, in the aftermath of that Saturday morning on October seventh, when we awoke to human evil beyond imagination.

Peleg’s paper art is a humble expression of everyone’s ability to use the power of thought and action to create goodness and beauty around us. Through the vegetation, Peleg hints at the rainbow, a sort of prayer for ending the flood that befell us, a sign for a better future full of color and light.

This is an open invitation to participate in the exhibition and create beauty with your own hands. Outside the gallery, you will find colorful papers to make a bird or a butterfly of your own, which you can add to the walls surrounding the installation.
