Fiona Tan: Geography of Time

Artist Fiona Tan (b. 1966) uses the photographed image to follow memory, to present complex identities and to contemplate about living the past in the present. Born in Indonesia to parents of Australian and Chinese origin, raised in Australia and living in Amsterdam, she is well acquainted with complex identities. The video installations in the exhibition reflect her interest in the presence of the passing time, the intricacies of biography and the power of the portrait.
