International Women's Day — Guided tour at the exhibition Netta Laufer: Distant Lights (in Hebrew)
First museum solo exhibition for Netta Laufer (b.1986), winner of the Lauren and Mitchell Presser Photography Award for a Young Israeli Artist, 2022.
A fascinating, intelligent, and sensitive preoccupation with animals and plants characterizes Laufer's work.
She creates powerful images in stills and video, using diverse means - such as night vision or security cameras - alongside more traditional photography. Laufer touches on the crucial issues of our time — from examining the influence of man-made borders on flora and fauna to universal questions such as the effects of the Anthropocene era (the era in which we live, characterized by the imprint of human activity on the environment.)
