Guided tour at the exhibition Building the Sea: Werner Josef Wittkower and the Planning of Tel Aviv's Shorelin (in Hebrew)
The exhibition explores the relations between the city and the sea, as they have developed over the past century. It centers on the part of the Tel Aviv shoreline planned in the 1960s by Werner Joseph Wittkower, extending from London Garden to the northern part of Independence Park. The exhibition also attends to the contribution made by Yaacov Rechter and Luigi Piccinato, as well as to the area’s more recent development in recent decades by Moria-Sekely Landscape Architects, Yashar Architects and Mayslits Kassif Architects.
