Body of Work: Art Meets Anatomy / Tours in the museum with ENT / Scents of Impressionism

Impressionist painting sought to capture fleeting moments of light, color, and movement. Often, these works also evoke aromas from memory—those of fields of flowers, forests, the sea at sunset, or the damp earth after rain.

This unique tour, led by two experts from different fields, bridges the iconic artworks with our olfactory memory. A museum guide will introduce the exhibition, and Dr. Gabriel Nakache will explain how smell receptors work, offering a live demonstration of the nasal and sinus cavities. Through a hands-on trial and lively discussion, participants will pair scents with beloved artworks and gain a deeper appreciation for the role of smell in life experiences.
