Tel Aviv Museum Mural: 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Roy Lichtenstein / Lecturer: Nathalie Andrijasevic, Assistant Curator of Modern Art and 16th-19th Century European
The mural, created by American Pop artist Roy Lichtenstein (1923–1997), has hung in the foyer of the Main Building of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art since 1989. Created especially for this space, over the years this work has become an icon of the Museum. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the artist’s birth, we will learn about the circumstances in which Lichtenstein created the work, and its diverse cultural contexts.
Note: This activity is in Hebrew only.
