Boaz Aharonovitch: Pale Blue Dot

Pale Blue Dot, 2015

Pale Blue Dot is the title of a photograph of planet Earth taken by the Voyager I space probe (1990), addressing vision and the inability to see. Boaz Aharonovitch examines themes concerning the limits of visibility in relation to the history of photography, the human motivation to reach beyond the boundaries of knowledge and the ambition to create an image attesting to an absent past experience.
